They had talked about the fear that Scully had about being in cramped places, unaware that she had been locked in the truck of her own car after Duane Barry took her on that morning in August. After she was returned, she refused to deal with her abduction ordeal. Although she had shared her feelings with her sister, she couldn't let herself talk to Mulder about her foggy memories. He prodded her a few times to let him in but she was always afraid that he would treat her differently than before. She wanted to remain the strong one for him, not be a victim. Some nightmares placed her back in the truck of the car and other times, she was on this table in a bright room having tests run by doctors. When Penny and Lottie told her that the memory came back in pieces, they were right. Scully knew she needed to deal with it - it wasn't going away anytime soon. She needed to talk someone. She took a deep breath, picked up the phone, and then dialed the number that she had memorized by heart. "Mulder, it's me. I was wondering if you could come over." "I'll be right there," Mulder told her. They talked briefly for a few minutes longer about the unsolved questions stemming from their case. They talked about what the diplomat wanted from Betsy Hagiopian, but nothing substantial had turned up. When she heard the knock on the door, she got up and answered it to see Mulder standing before her. "Mulder, come in." She led him to the sofa where she watched him plopped down. She sat down beside him and she saw him looking at her with his soulful eyes. In those eyes, she felt the warmth of his affection for her. "I came here as fast as I could," Mulder said, wrapping his arms gently around her thin waist. He paused then added with a wry smile. "Don't worry, I obeyed the safety laws." She sighed. "I hope so. The reason why I called you -" Mulder interrupted her, disentangling himself from the embrace. "You're still worried about what those women said to you." "You know me too well, Mulder." "Am I right?" She nodded. "I'm scared." He pulled her close to him again, feeling his heartbeat quicken. All he wanted was to shield her from all the pain in the world, but knew he couldn't. He wanted to be close to her - to have her in his arms forever. "Come here." He smoothed a stray wisp of auburn hair back from her face. "You know I'm here for you, Scully. I need you so much. Let me in." She nodded. "Mulder, you know I will." She disentangled herself from his embrace. She decided that this was finally the moment she had been waiting for - to show him her love for him. "I think we need to take this to the bedroom." She paused, noticing his startled look. "Bedroom?" Scully nodded, smiling softly at him. "I'll finally let you in." "I don't want to hurt you." "You won't, Mulder. I want you to take away how violated I feel from my nightmares. I want to show you how I feel about you - I can't hold back any longer." She gazed into his wondrous hazel eyes and could tell that she had almost rendered him speechless. "You know I love you, don't you?" Mulder appeared to be shocked by this because he didn't seem to know how to answer that. He decided to let his heart decide for him when his lips pressed against hers. It was the start of everything for them. "I know." ** She felt that she has been making love to him for years, even though this was her first time in his arms. Never before had she explored her perpetually deep feelings for him. Wet kisses bathing on luscious lips, skin to skin contact. She remembered the gentle throbbing of his penis when he entered her - and it gave her a pleasurable pain. This was a release from the frustration of hiding her feelings for him. It took awhile before an orgasm hit, but when it hit, she took to it like a cowboy on a horse. She rode the waves of passion to its fullest potential. This was a truly escalating moment for them both, but never explored by them until now. She wished they had made love sooner than they did - like when they first met. She wanted him then. She knew if they had succumbed to their feelings that it could have been the end of them. They didn't know each other well enough like they do now - their feelings weren't as deep. As she reached out and stroked Mulder's dark brown hair, she'd been glad she came to him that night. She loved seeing his bare skin in the twilight and bending down to give him kisses on his chest leading up to those soft lips of his. She hadn't yet said this to him, but he made her feel so complete when she was in his arms. There would be more nights like these, Scully thought. She placed her lips onto his once more to give him another kiss. Each kiss was more sensual than the last. With his arms around her, she felt safe. For the first time since her abduction, she knew she could finally face up to the truth surrounding what happened to her. She could feel her fears about dying melting away and knew that Mulder was the one who had helped her deal with it. She remembered how he had held her in his arms after she had told him everything about the women she'd met at Betsy's house and what they said to her. She told him that she was beginning to remember what had happened to her during her abduction. He rescued her from her perpetual fear; she was out of the nightmare zone. There was nothing to be afraid of anymore because she didn't need to run from her feelings anymore. Mulder was there now, standing right by her side on their shared journey to the find the truth. ~~ The End
