NOTES: This story was written for Fandomonium's Virtual Season Three of Smut. I would like to thank Jen and Lisa for beta reading this story for me. I've been wanting to write this story for a long time ever since I started to write fanfic back in 1998. The idea was always in my head, but never committed it to paper until now. I'm glad that I was finally able to write it. :) + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Scully tenderly brushed away the wisps of hair falling near the corner of his lidded hazel eyes. "Mulder, how long until he calls?" "It could be anytime, Scully," he murmured. He was staring at her ruby lips and it took all of his control not to give her open mouth kisses, especially with their razor thin hold as a unit at the FBI loomed over them. He imagined the bigwigs trying to close down the X-Files for the third time and he was beginning to become increasingly paranoid about it. If they found out about his growing feelings towards his partner, it could be the end of them. He wanted to kiss those lips and run his fingers through her silky red hair. He wanted to keep on kissing her until they both came up for air. He knew they really shouldn't do this, but he wanted so much to make love to her. He noticed Scully reaching for him until he stopped her. "We shouldn't..." "I know. We shouldn't do this during surveillance," Scully said with a sigh. She noticed Pusher wasn't anywhere near the phone booth that they were watching, but for a moment she wasn't thinking about the case - she was thinking about their relationship. "We haven't talked about what's been going on during the past few months. Ever since Comity, I felt we've been drifting apart." Mulder started to interrupt. "Scully, I --" "Mulder, I don't want to lose you. I know I haven't exactly been open lately. I'm still dealing with the feelings stemming from my abduction." Mulder's mind flashed back to the alcoholic beverages, the cigarettes, and Detective White's advances to him. He also replayed Scully's behavior. They had both done and said some things to each other that they weren't proud of. "We both weren't acting like us in Comity. I know I did stuff that I swear I would never do in a million years; and I know you probably did things that you wouldn't do, either. I call that a no-win situation, Scully. There was something off in that place. Weird." He paused. "I don't think this is about Comity." "You read me like a book, Mulder." "I know," he murmured. "Scully, is this about what you discovered in Allentown?" She nodded. "Yes." She looked down at her shoes briefly and then back looking in Mulder's direction. "I'm worried that I might get cancer someday and it scares me. I don't worry about it every single day, but it's at the back of my mind, making me worry that I might not be here in a couple of years. Just like those women. They seemed so convinced." Mulder let go of the wheel and then put his arm around her. "It'll be all right." Scully stared at him. "If it's not?" Mulder looked into her eyes, hoping that he would reassure her of his devotion. "Then we'll deal with it together, Scully. We're in this together." Scully's lips turned into a beautiful shaped O at the knowledge of his devotion to her. When she started to speak, her voice became a breathy whisper. "Mulder, I don't know what to say." She looked into his sparkling hazel eyes and finally understood the depth of his love for her. "I... didn't know." "Know what?" "I didn't know just how much you care about me; I never realized how much you're in love with me, Mulder." She watched as Mulder adjusted his seat to give him some extra legroom. "Is that better?" Mulder nodded. He was finally feeling a bit more comfortable and relaxed than he had been just a few minutes earlier. He inwardly smiled at Scully's admission about how she knew that he was in love with her. "Now you know." She gave him a soft smile. "Now I do." She paused briefly and reached out to hold his hand in hers. "I know we're supposed to be on surveillance, but there are things that I want to do right now." "Which is what?" With that, she leaned towards him to kiss him on the forehead. She smiled again. "This." Without any hesitance on her part, she kissed him on the lips with much more fervor than she had with anyone in years. Their kiss was the start of everything between them. They didn't utter a sound; they simply didn't need to. They decided to let their hearts talk by showing everything they had for each other. Fifteen minutes later, they continued with their lip lock. Only, this time, they felt their heartbeats quicken faster than ever, knowing that it was inevitable for them to show how much they love each other. Mulder was the first to come up for air, but his voice was low and breathy. "That... was the best... kiss that I've ever had. You're quite a kisser, Agent Scully." "And you're not such a bad kisser yourself, Agent Mulder. On the scale between one and ten, I think you are a ten!" "Ten, huh?" Scully nodded. "Oh, yes! Mulder, you're a ten." "Ten," he repeated, surprised. "I didn't know you would rate me so high." "Mulder, do you know how gorgeous you are?" She blurted the question out and was almost embarrassed at what she just said. "I have these fantasies of making love to you. Oh, I know that's truly out of the professional realm of saying so, but -" "But what?" "I want to make love to you. I want to show you how much I adore you, how much I always need you in my life. You're the center of my universe." She paused. She looked into his eyes and smiled at him. This was the hardest thing that she'd ever said to him and wanted him to know that. "Make love to me, Mulder. I need you so much..." Mulder nodded. He was too stunned to speak. His eyes became intense with innate passion for her. Scully's revelation of her feelings for him meant a great deal to him. He started to kiss her again with a bit more confidence this time. He felt the warmth of her lips touching his in that wet kiss. He wanted to savor kissing her luscious lips. He wanted to take his time and to finally make her his in every way. "Surveillance be damned," he muttered. He could see from the way she moved to kiss him that she thought the same thought. "Scully, I want you... I seriously need you in my life. I can't ignore what I feel any longer. Everything that I feel for you is overpowering me right now." He took in what was she was wearing that day - a red pantsuit with a black collar. He wanted her to know that he noticed and give her a compliment. "You look absolutely gorgeous today." Scully smiled. "Mulder, I wasn't sure if you were going to notice. I would love you to undress me, but you are right. We're on a case." "Scully, I shouldn't have rebuffed your kiss." "However, I think we can be discreet without anyone knowing anything because we both know tongues will be wagging about a certain rule of protocol that we'll be both be breaking. I would hate to see you carry an official reprimand in your career file because of what we're about to do." "I appreciate your concern for my career file, but I think I have mucked it so much over the years that a little making love in a car while on a stakeout would look mild in comparison. Half of the bureau thinks we're married or something anyway. I want to show you how much I love you, Scully. If a crowd happens to walk by while we're fucking like bunnies, I don't care if they find out the truth." "What truth?" "That I love you, Dana Scully. I would hire a plane to skywrite my love for you. I can see it now, it would write, 'Fox Mulder loves Dana Scully." Scully blushed. "Mulder, you would do that for me?" "Of course, I would. I want the whole world to know how much I love you. I think they know we love each other. I don't think we should hide it." He slowly worked his way out of his pants and smiled with relief. "Trying to get this off in here discreetly is harder than it looks." As Scully wiggled out of her pants in the car, she nodded. "I remember trying to do this before on a date." The pants slipped down to her shoes and she knew it was only inevitable that they would be having sex in a rental car. "In college." "Really?" Scully nodded. "Yes, but it didn't pan out." She unbuttoned the blouse and let it fall on the back of her seat. "I was too scared and inexperienced. I had a hard time slipping out of my panties." She paused. "Promise me you won't tell anyone." "I wouldn't tell anyone, Scully. Your secret is safe with me. I guess neither one of us had good dating experiences... I mean, having sex in a car. Before." "Thank you, Mulder." She looked relieved that her secret was safe with him. "Good. I just hope no one sees us trying to do...this. I didn't mind the kissing, Mulder. It's not that - I haven't fucked in a car before. College doesn't really count." "I know you're scared, but I think we need this after everything that's happened. We both love each other. Nothing should stop us, not even a simple little surveillance. If he happens to look, who cares? I say, let him be a peeping tom!" Her cheeks turned crimson again. "Mulder, I guess that goes with what you want everyone to know." Mulder nodded. "Yes, it does." They started making love after that. When his cock entered her, he loved watching her moan and screaming his name repeatedly. Being with her was like everything he'd ever imagined previously. Scully tasted like a ripened strawberry on a summers' day, sweet and juicy. When they went finally reached that top of the mountain - together, they celebrated by having one of the best orgasmic avalanches that they'd ever had. Together, they rode the waves like a master surfer. It was as if they had always been together throughout the ages. "Maybe we needed to have this sweet release," Mulder said later in the afterglow. He held her in his arms, smiling at her. He knew this was right. He felt very relaxed now, assured of the love they both felt for each other. He put his clothes back on and then he helped Scully do the same because he didn't want them to get caught. Scully gazed sleepily into his eyes and nodded. "I'm glad that we made love, Mulder." Mulder kissed her on her forehead and then all the way down to her lips. He loved doing this to her. "I want to continue doing this for as long as I'm able to do so. I thought long and hard about all this and the implications, but I want to show the world to you, Scully." The tears started to well in Scully's eyes. She tried to stop them from cascading down her face, but her efforts were failing. "Mulder..." "You know I love you, Scully." Scully nodded. "I know." Mulder and Scully finally knew what each other wanted in their relationship. They both knew the road ahead of them would be rocky, but they are on in this for the long haul. They both realized their feelings of love and then rode the waves of passion on this magical night. ~~ The End
